On Wednesday, developers Pierre Corbin and Hugo Ferrer announced an artificial intelligence bot name Talk2Satoshi. Users can chat and ask the chatbot as if directly talking with the infamous Satoshi Nakamoto.
Dubbed “The Bitcoin GPT,” the chatbot is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT API, LangChainAI, and Pinecone. The AI response is based on a curated collection of Satoshi’s historical emails, forum posts, and three essential Bitcoin resources. These resources include Jeff Booth’s “The Price of Tomorrow,” Saifedean Ammous’s “The Bitcoin Standard,” and a film titled “The Great Reset and the Rise of Bitcoin,” crafted by Satoshi Nakamoto.
In a tweet by Corbin, he asks the chatbot about its current outlook on fiat currency. The AI responded on a bearish note that “reliance on debt and credit has led to an increase in inflation in the last century”.
The tool is free, but the developers only ask for contributions by sending “some sats” to cover API costs.
Satoshi Nakamoto’s Whereabouts
Despite having an AI that mimics the founder of Bitcoin, it is still unclear who the anonymous creator is. “I remain anonymous as I believe decentralization is key to the success of Bitcoin,” said the bot.
The ultimate goal of Talk2Satoshi is to provide Bitcoin education and to help people down their “rabbit hole journey.” It also provides an accessible window into Satoshi’s thoughts on certain subjects without manually digging through all of his old communications.
