    Mira Murati, with a verified Twitter account and over 120,000 followers. The post garnered 79,600 views and received 83 retweets in one hour before being taken down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The author made sure to restrict who can reply to the post. This is to avoid others' warning that the link was a scam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The website linked in the tweet is remarkably well-crafted, resembling the layout and design of a legitimate project called ChainGPT. The scammers made minor modifications, primarily prompting users to connect a cryptocurrency wallet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Twitter Security Issue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    According to a security researcher at blockchain security firm Beosin, the website employs a crypto wallet draining kit. This tool entices visitors into signing requests, posing a potential security threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cOnce the request is signed, the attacker will transfer NFTs<\/a> and ERC-20<\/a> tokens out of the victim\u2019s wallet,\u201d<\/em> Beosin\u2019s researcher added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the other hand, a Twitter account with a blue check had shared a false image of black-smoke burning near the Pentagon. According to NPR's post<\/a>, the image is probably AI generated and circulated the Twitter like a storm.

    Twitter accounts with blue checks signify that the holder is a verified or legitimate entity. Anyone can have a blue check on their Twitter account by paying a monthly subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Among the accounts with verified badges that shared the misleading image of the Pentagon, one was impersonating Bloomberg News. These resources include Jeff Booth's \"The Price of Tomorrow,\"<\/em> Saifedean Ammous's \"The Bitcoin Standard,\"<\/em> and a film titled \"The Great Reset and the Rise of Bitcoin,\"<\/em> crafted by Satoshi Nakamoto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bybit has announced <\/a>that the cryptocurrency exchange will halt its business operation in Canada. The decision was made due to recent regulatory development in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Starting from May 31st, account creation will no longer be available. Effective July 31, 2023, Canadian customers can no longer make new deposits.
