Microsoft has removed the waitlist for its latest tool, Microsoft Designer, and has made it available to the public for expanded preview. An AI-powered design tool, Microsoft Designer utilizes various AI models, including Open AI’s DALLE-2.
Microsoft originally announced its latest designer tool to the public in October 2022. But the company delayed the release of the product to improve its features further. According to Bryan Rognier, General Manager, Microsoft 365 Consumer, “Since October, the AI models have steadily improved, and we’ve worked to weave these powerful capabilities throughout the Designer canvas in even more delightful ways while keeping you in control.”.
Users can use Designers to generate unique images, animated texts, and visuals simply by describing their thoughts. Additionally, the software can process a given phrase and produce relevant captions and hashtags for social media posts.
In the future, Microsoft plans on adding more features, such as filling or erasing specific parts of an image, expanding or replacing something in the background, and more. “We will continue to evolve and add value to the Designer experience while maintaining our high security and privacy standards,” said Bryan Rognier in the press release.
