Meta Inc., the parent company of Facebook, has recently announced the inclusion of Meta AI in their new generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses. The company revealed new features for the glasses will be available as part of an early access program.
“We’re launching an early access program for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses customers to try out and provide feedback on upcoming features ahead of their release”, the company confirmed in a press release.

Meta Smart Glasses Accessibility
The program is only accessible to Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses owners in the US. Users can participate in the program by enrolling via the Meta View app on iOS and Android. As part of the program, users can directly talk to the AI implemented in their glasses and the AI can process the information captured by the built-in camera. Users can also “ask Meta for help writing a caption for a photo taken during a hike or to describe an object”, the company stated.
However, Meta warned their users that the features may not always work optimally or consistently as the company continues to fine-tune the software. Speaking on the issue, the blog post claims, “We’re continuing to learn what works best and improving the experience for everyone. Your feedback will help make Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses better and smarter over time”.
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses were launched earlier this year in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the manufacturer of Ray-Ban luxury glasses.
