US President Donald Trump has announced the launch of a new AI company called the Stargate Project. This joint venture is mainly built on the collaboration between America’s OpenAI (the makers of ChatGPT), Japan’s SoftBank, and MGX (an investment firm from the United Arab Emirates). According to reports, the newly emergent company will invest over $500 billion to build “new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the United States” over the next 4 years.
On Tuesday, President Trump held a press conference at the White House to reveal Stargate to the world. Trump declared that this would be “the largest AI infrastructure project by far in history.”
Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, was also present at the conference. “I think this will be the most important project of this era. We wouldn’t be able to do this without you, Mr President”, Altman added.

OpenAI’s Agreement Terms
OpenAI released a blog detailing the terms of this agreement. “The initial equity funders in Stargate are SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. SoftBank and OpenAI are the lead partners for Stargate, with SoftBank having financial responsibility and OpenAI having operational responsibility. Masayoshi Son will be the chairman”, the AI company confirmed.
Additionally, OpenAI will work closely with Oracle, Arm, Microsoft, and NVIDIA in building and operating the computing system. While OpenAI has worked previously with NVIDIA and Microsoft, this project will mark the first collaboration between them and Oracle.
The company claims this project will make America the global AI leader while securing thousands of jobs for the American public. The post predicts that the entire world’s economy will be boosted through this project.
