Solana blockchain users will soon be able to interact with the network through an open-source plugin. This plugin is enabled on OpenAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot, ChatGPT.
The ChatGPT plugin will allow users to check “wallet balances, transfer tokens, and purchase NFTs once ChatGPT plugins are available”. According to a tweet by Solana Labs last April 25, “developers who want to test this out and launch their own version can dig into the code“.
A screenshot below shows that ChatGPT can retrieve a list of NFTs owned by a given Solana address. Attached is a metadata link to the NFT, presumably from the Solana Labs Block Explorer.
Cryptocurrency And Artificial Intelligence
After the tweet with the ChatGPT plugin, Solana Foundation announces a “$1m fund for small-scale grants exploring the intersection of the Solana blockchain and AI”. The foundation added that “the grants range from $5k to $25k, and both new and existing projects are eligible”. This movement will support developers who are interested in AI and Solana blockchain.
Along with Solana’s adoption of AI to assist in the development of the crypto ecosystem, Binance announced yesterday the launch of Sensei, a ChatGPT-powered chatbot to assist in crypto education.
