The latest version of Google’s flagship AI model series, Gemini 2.0 Flash, is now available to the general public. A blog on the company’s official website confirmed the news.
“Today, we’re making the updated Gemini 2.0 Flash generally available via the Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. Developers can now build production applications with 2.0 Flash.”, the post stated. Gemini 2.0 Flash is reportedly Google’s most efficient AI model, which was revealed last December for the new agentic era of generative AI.
The input price is $0.10 per text, image, or video and $0.70 for audio. The output price is $0.40 per text output. Google has introduced a new feature for 2.0 Flash called context catching. This will cost an additional $0.025 per text, image, or video and $0.175 per audio.

For a more cost-effective version, Google has also released Gemini 2.0 Flash-lite. This has an input price of $0.075 per text, image, video, and audio. It has an output price of $0.30 per text output.
Google also announced the launch of an “experimental version” of Gemini 2.0 Pro. It comes with a 2 million token context window. The model is available for trial in Google AI Studios and Vertex AI. Gemini Advanced subscribers can also use it on the Gemini app.
