American Healthcare Opps Holdings LLC, a company affiliated with American Healthcare REIT, Inc., has extended an offer of employment to Aric Chang for the position of Chief Financial Officer, according to an employment offer letter filed with the SEC.
Chang will report to Chief Executive Officer Jeff Hanson and President and Chief Operating Officer Gabe Willhite, with an estimated start date no later than October 1, 2026.
Under the terms of the offer, Chang will receive an annual base salary of $500,000, paid monthly at $41,666.66. He will also be eligible for an annual bonus with a target opportunity equal to 100% of his base salary, subject to performance goals set by the company each fiscal year.
Chang will be eligible to participate in AHR's long-term incentive program starting in 2027. The program is expected to include a restricted stock unit award and a performance-based restricted stock unit award, each with a grant date value of no less than $500,000, to be issued on or before March 31, 2027. The RSUs are scheduled to vest in three equal annual installments, while the performance-based units will be tied to corporate performance goals for the period from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029.
Chang will also receive a one-time cash payment of $310,000, payable no later than 30 days after his start date. As Chief Financial Officer, he will not accrue traditional vacation time but will instead be permitted unlimited vacation, subject to business needs and approval. He has also been designated as a participant in the company's Executive Severance and Change of Control Plan.
The offer letter, dated September 2, 2026, was signed by Hanson and by Chang.
