Etherscan, a widely used Ethereum block explorer, is integrating ChatGPT into the Code Reader. The tool is used for comprehensive analysis of the Ethereum blockchain. Last Monday, the company announced the latest tool, Code Reader, which is currently in beta.
“The Code Reader is a tool that leverages the power of AI to provide users with the ability to retrieve and interpret the source code of a specific contract address,” Etherscan said.

Etherscan Warns the Public
Etherscan cautions users that the ChatGPT tool is meant for informational purposes only and advises against blindly accepting its responses. They emphasize the importance of independent verification and not relying on the tool for evidence or bug bounties.
This disclaimer is significant due to the prevalent issue of AI chatbots generating false information. AI hallucinations occur when AI systems produce inaccurate results that lack real-world data support.
Even the United Nations has raised concerns about using AI-generated deep fakes to propagate hate and misinformation on social media.
