News brief21 Oct 20262 min read

SpaceX reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year-over-year, according to an earnings release filed with the SEC.

The company posted income from operations of $2.8 billion, net income of $4.4 billion, and Adjusted EBITDA of $8.8 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with a net loss of $1.1 billion in the prior-year quarter.

Growth was fueled by the Super Intelligence (SI) segment, which added $6.7 billion of incremental solutions and infrastructure revenue year-over-year, driven by cloud services agreements, the acquisition of Cursor, and growth in SI models and software applications including Grok Bot. SI revenues reached $7.6 billion, up 830% year-over-year, while nameplate compute expanded to 1.7 GW as of September 30, 2026, up from 0.6 GW a year earlier.

The Connectivity segment delivered revenue growth of 69% and income from operations growth of 99% year-over-year, supported by enterprise and government adoption and continued Starlink consumer subscriber growth. Starlink consumer subscribers reached 13.6 million, up 1.6 million sequentially, with monthly ARPU of $69.

In the Space segment, SpaceX completed 12 customer launches during the quarter, including NASA's mission to launch the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, and completed Starship Flight 14, its first orbital Starship flight, delivering 26 Starlink V3 satellites representing approximately 10 times the downlink capacity added by a Falcon 9 Starlink launch. Space segment income from operations was a loss of $7 million as the company continued to accelerate research and development investments in its Starship program.

SpaceX completed its acquisition of Cursor on August 14, 2026, based on an implied equity value of $60 billion, with GAAP purchase consideration of $42.5 billion. Cursor contributed $608 million of revenue to consolidated results from the closing date through September 30, 2026. On October 8, 2026, SpaceX entered into an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio of up to 14 megahertz in the 800 MHz band, expected to close in the first half of 2027.
