The Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities ETF seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index measuring the investment return of inflation-protected U.S. Treasury securities with less than 5 years remaining to maturity. The fund follows an indexing approach designed to replicate the Bloomberg U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) 0-5 Years Index by investing primarily in the same securities as the index, in similar proportions.
