Fails to deliver are shares that were sold but not handed over on time. The SEC publishes this list twice a month, 2–4 weeks after the fact — sites that show it without saying so are showing you the past dressed as the present. The number is an outstanding balance, not a count of new failures, and fails happen for ordinary reasons — paperwork, ETF plumbing, corporate actions. A streak proves nothing on its own; we show it because it's real, public, and rarely presented honestly.
