About the fund

The Fund seeks to provide daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to 200% of the inverse (opposite) of the daily performance of an index of junior gold and silver mining companies. It aims to achieve this by investing primarily in financial instruments such as swap agreements and futures contracts that offer leveraged short exposure to the index, rather than directly shorting the securities. The index includes small- and mid-cap companies involved in gold and silver mining from both developed and emerging markets, and is reviewed semi-annually and rebalanced quarterly. The Fund rebalances its portfolio daily to maintain its targeted inverse leveraged exposure.
