The SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 Value ETF seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P 500 Value Index. This index measures the performance of large-cap U.S. stocks from the S&P 500 that exhibit strong value characteristics, such as high book value to price, earnings to price, and sales to price ratios. The fund uses a sampling strategy, investing in a subset or substantially all of the securities in the index, and may also hold cash, cash equivalents, or use futures contracts for cash management and index tracking purposes. The index is reconstituted annually and rebalanced quarterly, and its sector composition may change over time.
