About the fund

The Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Materials Select Sector Index. It aims to do this by investing in substantially all of the securities in the Index, which consists of materials companies from the S&P 500, including those in industries such as chemicals, metals and mining, paper and forest products, containers and packaging, and construction materials. The Fund uses a replication strategy, typically holding the same securities in similar proportions as the Index. The Index is maintained by S&P Dow Jones Indices and uses a modified market capitalization weighting methodology.
