UAE-based startup YallaMarket announced that they now accept payments in cryptocurrency through its mobile app.
- A report from local media Khaleej Times states YallaMarket will accept 2 stablecoins; Tether ($TUSD) and USD Coin ($USDC).
- YallaMarket partnered with CoinMENA, a Bahrain-based exchange for their payment services. YallaMarket is also “geared up” to receive crypto investments from MENA[1]Middle East/North Africa-based partners.
- The startup is also considering paying salaries with cryptocurrencies in the future.
- YallaMarket is following in the footsteps of Dubai-based Bake N More Café, which was the first Café in the UAE to accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.
